Children's book with heroes: From mythology to everyday life

A children's book with heroes? And who among us has not read? Whether in a graphic novel or in literature, we all have favorite superheroes! How much do they affect us?

In every society, the selection and imitation of role models was a decisive factor in the formation of identity and behavior in childhood and adolescence. Today, we live in an era that is significantly different from that of our childhood as it is inextricably linked to technology. We receive a lot of information, images, requests and messages every day. The power of the image, which is often so processed that it does not convey reality.

Children are confronted with this new reality from an early age. They must be properly trained to be able to filter and distinguish the real from the fake. They must distinguish the healthy from the unhealthy and the safe from the dangerous. This way their contact with the Media will not have negative consequences, which is of course not easy.

At the same time, feeling the need to create their own identity and to be accepted by social groups in their environment, they appropriate and imitate people. Models who are often shown in the Media with their professional activity and perfect physical condition. Also, their views and impressive lifestyles, which they admire and often idealize and idealize without a second thought.

Traveling back in time, one can easily see that every society has always needed heroes. Inspiring heroes whose characteristics were determined by the conditions and needs of each society at the given time. These heroes are divided into heroes of mythology, history, fairy tales, cartoons and everyday heroes. The need for people to look around for Superheroes is greater than ever today! Although they may live near us, it is often not easy to locate them. Maybe it's because they don't wear a berta or a mask. They also don't post videos and photos of themselves on social media projecting a perfect life and a flawless image.

Who are the real Superheroes?

Real Superheroes often wear work clothes and work hard under pressure. They defy danger and personal gain and run to help anyone in need. They spend long hours in laboratories trying to discover drugs that will treat life-threatening diseases.

They don't forget to take care of the strays in the neighborhood. They fight against injustice and for the rights and defense of the weak. They protect the natural and man-made environment.

The real Superheroes live among us. Many times in us too. Some of them are even giving their personal hard fight to stay alive.

At the same time they stand on their feet with dignity continuing their daily activities while taking care of other people, times when it seems difficult to take care of themselves. The real Superheroes are those who, far from the public eye, succeed with their attitude and action in changing the lives of both themselves and those around them.

It's not as difficult as it might sound. All we have to do is look carefully around us and turn our attention in this direction by raising our children accordingly: Communicate and interact effectively with their family. To attend a school that accepts, supports and inspires.

The most important legacy for children

To learn to observe, filter and evaluate the world around them. To use technology with moderation, responsibility and safety.

To read books. To read many books. To sharpen their imagination, creativity and critical thinking through children's books.

To travel the world and get to know different cultures. To accept the different.

Then they might get to the point where they are able to spot the real Superheroes around them and try to emulate them. They may even become the Superheroes of themselves and their environment, promoting humanitarian values. Then there is certainly hope that our world will become better.
