The strength of the disease

self-awareness book
Written by the author Panagiotis Bekiaris (book: Journeys of Self-Knowledge)

If I eat healthy will I be healthy? If I exercise will I have vitality and health? If I read one self-awareness book will it help me change my way of thinking for the better? Will I find peace if I meditate? If I breathe correctly will I be full of energy and vigor? If I achieve a goal, will I feel adequate and worthy? If I go on a trip and interact with different cultures will I feel joy?

To answer the question let's take the myth of Ariadne from the beginning and get rid of various established beliefs.

If you eat healthy and correctly, you will help your body to function properly and your mind to have clarity. This does not mean that you will be healthy! If you meditate you will help your mind to calm down from the complex and cascading thoughts and you will be further inspired. But again, no one guarantees your health. If you read a self-awareness book you may gain spiritual knowledge or new ways of thinking. But I don't think that reading a self-knowledge book (except mine!) will keep you sane forever.

But why is this happening?

Because quite simply we are not our body. We are not what we have been taught to be. We are not what we see in our mirror reflection. Or rather we are not ONLY this. We are a multidimensional on with many faces. And if we work stoically and with determination one of them will clearly strengthen it but the others? E.g. if I diligently work my body with a healthy and temperamental diet and exercise it regularly I will strengthen it. Of course, this does not mean that along with my body I will also strengthen my intellect, my mental and emotional world. And not to speak of the Spirit at the end of life's long labyrinth.

And what do I need to do?

You are simply called to 'work' with yourself on multiple levels. But what will need your special attention is the psycho-emotional part.

It is the place where childhood programming and traumas lurk and the belief systems that subconsciously rule us. It is what, like a professional torchbearer, carries its imprints and the effects of stress on our visible body (psycho-neuroimmunology has now proven the devastating effects of prolonged stress on our immune system, and beyond). Once this realization is achieved, it goes hand in hand with another one, which directs us to take the responsibility of life into our own hands.

From being a "victim" of a diagnosis that is left to the knowledge and beliefs of someone else, we become the guides of the prognosis!

We thus remember that we and only we are the creators of our reality. And if we don't like it...let's change it!

And as I write in my self-awareness book: "When you need to correct the imperfections of your external appearance, you go to the mirror and say: My mirror, my little mirror, who's who? Oops! wrong, someone else has said that... anyway, you go and see any imperfections in your reflection and correct them. Um, don't you do the same with your inner imperfections, those of your psyche?

Just remember! And for these cases there are mirrors!

A) The people who already exist in our lives or the people we attract into our lives. When we get upset with them it is because they project aspects of us that we don't like or don't want to accept that we have or don't know we have. They may also reflect programming we have within us.

B) Our body, which not only processes food but also our emotions. And if he cannot process them, digest them and recycle them then they are externalized through an illness, whose sole aim is not punishment but better inner viewing."

In conclusion, everything contributes, nothing by itself creates the final result!
