Panagiotis P. Bokovos, PhD in Economics, former Minister-MP, author. He was born in Edessa on 11.9.1935. He is married to Sofia K. Nikopoulou. He has two daughters, married. He finished elementary and high school (1953) at the Experimental School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki; a graduate of the School of Law and Economics of the Athens University. (1959); doctorate in economics (1969); retrained in European cooperation at the University of Nancy, France (1961-1962); lawyer in Thessaloniki (1963). He served his military service as a reserve infantry officer (1958-1960).
Career: scientific associate of the Hellenic Productivity Center - Thessaloniki Office (1964-1968); financial advisor of the Association of Industries of North Greece and director of its monthly Bulletin (1968-1976); member of the Board of Directors. of the Hellenic Bank for Industrial Development and the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Sugar Industry (1975-1976); deputy director of the National Land Bank of Greece (1976-1977); president of the National Organization of Greek Handicrafts (1976-1977). He was elected Member of Parliament of the 1977st District of Thessaloniki with the ND, in the elections of 1977 (1981-1981) and 1981 (1985-1977); he served as Deputy Minister of Finance (1981-XNUMX), in the governments of Konstantinos Karamanli-Georgio Ralli.
He published the monthly magazine Economic Review (1975-1986). He taught at PASEGES Executive School and in its seminar. Lecturer at many seminars of the Hellenic Center for Productivity, businesses and organizations. He gave lectures in many cities of our country, on economic and social issues. Lecturer on the operation of public relations in Thessaloniki and founding president of the Public Relations Company of Northern Greece. He collaborated with newspapers in Thessaloniki and Athens, with the essay magazine Ethini, the magazine Politics and Economy, the newspaper Augi Pyrgou, etc. He made many appearances on television stations, he had his own show on a channel in Thessaloniki. Currently columnist for Hestia Athens, contributor to the magazine of the Union of Writers of Northern Greece Muses Melathron etc. 23 of his books were published.
