Despina Kleronomou
What is your star?
How important is writing to you?
The truth is that I do not belong to the group of "professional" writers and I do not write to give an outlet in my spare time. I only write when I have something to share that is the result of experiences and experiential life. When this something has matured and can be useful to my fellow travelers. That's why when I create a book, it's like giving birth to my own soul. This child manifests when the experiential pregnancy is complete, and this is not something I decide or judge, but a force within me that unlocks the writing channel to birth. Then the same power seals the gate and falls silent again.
So writing for me is an initiatory, personal process that, because it occurs to me unexpectedly, always surprises me, surprises me, and fascinates me when it happens.
"Having the experience of cooperation with classic publishing houses that ranged from indifferent to a little traumatic I would say, I had decided not to publish my work again. […] I felt that in addition to commercial collaboration, the writer for the iWrite team was a partner and fellow traveler in the world of spirit. [...] I wish all authors to be lucky enough to have such a collaboration".
How did you feel when your book was published and you held it in your hands for the first time?
The book was published in Thessaloniki and the first to hold it in her hands as a midwife was a friend of mine, Katerina, who raced to be at the iWrite offices just in time for my child to appear in our world. By the time he called me, I was staring at the clock and the phone. I felt anxious and anxious. I only calmed down when I heard her read to me full of emotion, a passage from the book she was holding in her hands. In two days, when the book arrived in Athens and I took it in my own hands, I had time to calm down. I remember looking at it, kissing it and holding it to my heart. It was like hugging a piece of my soul. How to describe the peace and quiet? Only as a feeling of security and completeness.
Why do you think you made the right choice with iWrite.gr?
Having the experience of cooperation with the classic publishing houses that was from indifferent to a little traumatic I would say, I had decided not to publish my work again. I took a quick look at buying the self-funded version, but again froze it in my head. Until a friend, also a writer, sent me the address of iWrite, which she stumbled upon. I honestly don't know what made me enter her website and immediately contact Mr. Ioannidis by phone.
I was completely ignorant of the publishing process and full of questions. So I had to call him many times until I got into the spirit. I was really impressed that Mr. Ioannidis and his other associates were always willing to deal with my ignorance without trying, not even for a moment, to secure me as their client. I felt that in addition to commercial collaboration, the writer for the iWrite team was a partner and fellow traveler in the world of spirit.
So, I decided to trust my pain in their hands. I was not denied, quite the opposite. I have found that they are consistent in word and deed and that the author continues to be willing and supportive even after his book is published.
I wish all authors to be lucky enough to have such a collaboration.
Your first impressions of the "journey" of your book, which has just begun?
The book took its first steps firmly and steadily into the world.
I am delighted by the readers' comments and the reflection that has been created for them... There are not a few who say that the book unfolded before them a world that they did not even know existed. Still others, that he gave them answers to their key questions. Most people feel the need to read it again and again and everyone is happy that its messages are simply given.
From its progress so far and the enthusiastic response to its official presentation on December 1st in Athens (in 2014), I can only feel happy and grateful that my book has been so well received and has already been useful to my fellow travelers.
"Mrs. Klironomou is an excellent person and writer, so designing her new book could only be a pleasure for us. We consider it a great honor that her "spiritual child" trusted us and we are proud that she feels justified in her choice!"
