Bullying is a social phenomenon that has invaded our lives for good. It has been widely used by experts and non-experts alike, while it has been overplayed by the media. The constant engagement with this issue has magnified it in the eyes of society and has placed it in an incorrect context in which ambiguities, misinterpretations and myths prevail.

In this book, the concepts related to School Bullying are presented and analyzed extensively, and the various sub-topics that surround it are explained in detail. Myths surrounding the phenomenon are dispelled and, subsequently, restored by reality. The signs that need to alarm parents, teachers and the wider society are also noted.

Bullying is a scourge that affects us all! The axes in which we need to move are that of prevention and that of treatment. As a family, as a society, and as a state, we must not tolerate any child being bullied.

Author Biography

Dorita Markantoni was born in Limassol and graduated from Laniteo High School. Afterwards, he studied at the Pedagogical Department of Elementary Education of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, from which he graduated with honors. He holds a postgraduate degree in Educational Leadership and Management and works as a teacher. During her postgraduate studies, she was also particularly involved with the School Bullying section. Subsequently, he attended seminars in Cyprus and abroad, and dealt extensively with this social phenomenon. He participated in researches and gave several lectures on the subject at pan-Cypriot, pan-Hellenic and international conferences.

She has written articles for numerous online and print newspapers, while, through her original web series, she has dealt with various social issues as well as children's issues. Furthermore, he proceeded to study the phenomenon of Workplace Intimidation (Mobbing), on which he also gave lectures.

At the same time, she has an intense charitable activity in many charitable associations and organizations, being a volunteer. Today, he is a member of the board of directors of the Association of Parents and Friends of Children with Special Needs.
