Many gangs of the Wild West managed to become legends, but none managed to reach the Dalton Gang. Their story is unique not only for their daring robberies, but also for the way they went underground: starting as representatives of the law, he turned his back on them, forcing them to become criminals.
What really happened? How sure are you that you would do something differently if you were in their shoes?
This book, written in 1918, is the first complete record of a Wild West outlaw. It's the true story of the infamous Dalton Brothers, as never told, by Emmett...the "Tall One" of the gang.

"Don't expect flawless writing in this book, it doesn't need it anyway. I assure you, however, that every fact contained and concerning me and my brothers is absolutely true in every detail, and is the first true and only authentic story that has ever been written about us…”
Emmett Dalton
Emmett Dalton was born on May 3, 1871. Being the youngest son of the Dalton family, he followed in the footsteps of his brothers. He went underground, participating in train robberies and other gang activities in the American Wild West.
In addition, he took part in the last failed double bank robbery attempted by the gang, in 1892, in Kansas. Four died in the fight, but Emmett survived despite being shot 23 times. He was sentenced to life imprisonment, but fourteen years later he was granted amnesty.
Pushing on his bad reputation, he managed to become a Hollywood writer and actor.
He died at the age of 66 on July 13, 1937.
