Can a totally stupid accident that ends up in the hospital and results in a few broken bones change your life in ways you never imagined? The hero, having entered his fourth decade of life, with his professional career and family life in ruins, manages quite casually and without much effort to get involved with dangerous smuggling rings and the rats that support them. Through them he will meet an unconventional young lady who will help him despite her initial reluctance, will make him fall in love with her and will mysteriously disappear. He will frantically search for a lost commodity demanded of him by some persistent pursuers who have mistaken him for someone else, just as he will also search for a new lease of life in his stifled life. When the unknown precious cargo is revealed, everything will take an unexpected turn.

The novella "Eggs" is the first literary publication of Kriton Grigorakis as well as his first participation in a literary competition, which received the distinction of 1st praise in the SILVER PAGE III competition.

Author Biography

Kriton Grigorakis was born in the picturesque capital of Greece more than four decades ago. In the past he was a collector of university degrees, domestic and foreign. He was and remains an avid reader. He works with relative success as a researcher at the Hellenic Marine Research Center studying fish as food.

He has written many scientific publications, book chapters and other writings of some interest to a section of die-hard scientists in his field and whose reading by the general public could only be of direct benefit to insomniacs. For as long as he can remember, he writes whatever comes into his head, however, this is the first time that vanity pushes him to publish a literary work, since until now writing, for him, had a purely auto-psychoanalytic character. He is married, has two daughters and a dog.
