Five-year-old Kamil does not understand exactly what "enemy of the people" means. He knows, however, that these three words are the reason he was left an orphan. Growing up in a despotic regime, he records his thoughts in diaries. In his student years, and while he has not yet understood why the word "border" is the most forbidden word in his country, his free spirit finds an outlet in the world of literature and poetry and is enchanted by Leo Tolstoy's Anna Karenina. His heart, in the midst of atheism and absolutism, flutters when his gaze crosses the eyes of little Lucci. One would say that they could never meet. Without anything to unite them, and probably without any common interest, they found themselves in the same school.
He's a teacher, she's a student. Heart and reason fight within him, in an unequal battle between must and want. He leaves social dictates and dilemmas for the less daring and follows his heart! And then a great love is born. A love-legend about Korča in the 70s, where while public kissing may not be forbidden, it is condemned, while even people's breathing is controlled by an inhumane and anachronistic regime, while group executions squeeze souls, a professor throws away fear and conservatism, keeps faith deep inside him, falls in love with his student and makes her his muse!
