This book is the first in the series "School Truancy"
A middle-aged man in his fifties, wearing shabby clothes and a black jacket, walked in. He was looking around like he was lost, I hadn't seen him at school before. "Good morning, are you Raisa's father?" I asked hastily. "No, her uncle…" he clarified to me hesitantly. "Raisa has been missing since last night" he added softly, looking down. "Come to my office" I said to him in surprise. "Well, I've been letting you know since noon yesterday," I continued critically. My surprise had turned to anger now. "Raisa skipped school for two hours at the end of the day, I called her mother and let her know, weren't you worried?" I asked abruptly. "We had work to do, we couldn't," he replied curtly. I could see an expression of guilt in his expression. Who wouldn't have, if he had lost his child through his own negligence. “You couldn't? And now what are you doing here?'
To an expert, the signs are obvious: Neglect of a minor, social exclusion, suspicious company, loneliness. And then the explosion happens, the child's escape from home and the search for a better fortune, which most of the time only brings adventures and hardships. This book deals with the adolescent's agonizing search to belong to a group, to be socially accepted, sacrificing all inhibitions on the altar of social inclusion. This is the story of Raisa and Nikolas, but also of so many other children beside us.
