The Last Door - novel

How important is writing to you?

I started reading at a relatively old age. At some point, captivated by the stories of others, I thought that I would also like to tell a story. But I hesitated. The thought eventually matured along with my audacity and I dared to take up pencil and paper. It was there that I realized how excited I was to write and set up stories, to discover the hero, what he wants to say and to follow him. On a sticky white paper, you realize how difficult but also liberating it is to be the God who directs and moves the threads of the heroes but who at the same time learns to be led by them. Writing is refreshing for me. It's a way to relax and exercise the existing imagination... A new obsession. I am now tired of going to the National Garden late at night and throwing artichokes at the ducks.

With young people who have the appetite and drive to practically support the writers they work with, in a friendly and creative atmosphere."

How did you feel when your book was published and you held it in your hands for the first time?

Strange, beautiful. When I wrote it, I didn't think we would get to its publication. Along the way I just started dreaming about it. The best moment was when I got it printed in my hands. I will never forget the joy I saw on the faces of the people close to me. Pride and pride. Certainly my feelings were stronger than then - about thirty years ago - when I found my first paper catfish. It wasn't even a little. Imagine that you bought a whole 4×4 rocket ice cream and you had change left over.

Why do you think you made the right choice with Pigi Publications and iWrite.gr?

Because while others remain thirsty, I chose to go straight to the "Source". From the beginning we had a very good cooperation and then they kept all their commitments. As a young author I am happy to work with a newly established publishing house. With young people who have the appetite and drive to practically support the writers they work with, in a friendly and creative atmosphere.
