ΜOver the years, education is constantly changing and more and more challenges are presented at the level of classroom and educational policy. One of the most important challenges today is the field of special education. Real efforts are being made to improve the education of children with disabilities, however there are many factors that do not yet allow changing the system of segregated education into a system based on the principles of inclusive education. In this book reference is made to the education of deaf/hard of hearing people who are a heterogeneous group and in their education there are many challenges and limitations, especially in the context of inclusive education. Parents and teachers at all levels are called upon to play a key role in promoting inclusive education and in removing those barriers that prevent its implementation. In this book, through new research data, an attempt is made to raise the issues in the education of deaf/hard of hearing students that are connected to the spirit of inclusive education and have not yet emerged on the surface of education for many and important reasons that the system is not still ready. Also, the author's experience as an educator and a hard of hearing person is basically presented, showing those points that limit the education of deaf/hard of hearing children and those strong points that these students can develop more. The book is addressed to researchers, teachers of all levels, students of pedagogic departments, parents and any other interested party who is interested in deepening the education of deaf/hard of hearing students in the context of inclusive education.

Kostas Mantzikos,100 in stock
Ο Konstantinos N. Mantzikos is a special educator and works in public school units staffing "integration" Parallel Support structures and Integration Departments, as well as in special education and training structures.
His vision is to see a school that is more humane and closer to the student. A school that will embrace and accept all students, showing respect for their individual and different learning needs, abilities and talents. A school where students will get real pleasure from learning processes, parents will learn to become better for their children and teachers through continuous theoretical and practical education/training will change the philosophy of the school, using appropriate approaches that recognize the totality of students. Its basic idea is: when a school is far from the norms of capitalism, which according to Foucault capitalism creates docile and helpless beings and reinforces inequality at all levels, the school produces students who evolve and continue to discover, to experiment and learn new things. A school where students unfold all aspects of their development through their interests and talents and the result is more than just positive.
