Athens, 1943
ΤIrini's great dream of a career in music was denied to her by her husband Stavros, an up-and-coming journalist and faithful to the beginnings of his time: "What will the world say? That Stavros Ioannou cannot support his wife? We have a piano at home, you can sit and play and let your soul be happy."
And then came the war to claim the life of Stavros as a sacrifice as well as the piano of consolation and leave behind a lonely Peace, worn out by the losses and the struggle for survival.
Spring of '43 and a visitor from the past puts music back into Irene's life and offers her recognition, which will come from the most unexpected source. And while she tries to adapt to the new reality, a murder forces her to become a fugitive in her own place and seek refuge in the wolf's den. Through an endless chain of dilemmas, choices that sometimes hurt and sometimes redeem, from goals that mutate, she will discover that not everything in life is black or white, like the keys of her piano and that the fire that burns inside her is stronger from that of the war.
