Refugee children

Ο Pavlos Dziurrou was born in Bratislava, Slovakia and grew up in the mixed village of Pyla in the province of Larnaca in Cyprus. After his 25-month military service in Cyprus, he lived for a year in Poděbrady, Czech Republic (2008-2009: Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies, Poděbrady Study Centre, Charles University), where he had daily interaction with people from all over the world. He graduated from the Department of Marine Sciences (current Department of Oceanography and Marine Biosciences) of the School of Environment of the University of the Aegean. He then completed his post-graduate studies (MSc) in the direction "Environmental Oceanography" of the "Geosciences and Environment" Program of the Geology Department of the Faculty of Science of the University of Patras. In 2021, he completed his doctoral research at the Department of Chemistry of the Faculty of Science of the University of Patras, regarding the pollution of the environment by plastics. His interests are centered on Argentine tango, meeting new people from all over the world and traveling, as he feels like a citizen of the world! He comes from a family of refugees from occupied Cyprus, to whom he dedicates this children's book.
