Maria Pieri Stasinou was born in Cyprus. She is a graduate of the Kindergarten Department of the Cyprus Pedagogical Academy and the Department of Educational Sciences of the University of Cyprus. She works as a teacher.

Her interest in writing began at a very early age. He was honored with the Severio Prize, a prize given to the best essay by a senior student of the Pancyprian High School.

In 2008 he won the 2010st Prize in the Poetry Competition of Eugenia Palaiologou-Petrondas organized by the Cyprus Association of Children's and Young People's Books, while in XNUMX, in the same competition, he received a commendation.

In 2012, in the Cypriot Sketch Writing Competition organized by the Cyprus Radio Foundation, she was awarded the 2014st prize, while in XNUMX she won the first-time author award organized by the Cyprus Association of Children and Youth Books.

He has also won first prizes and distinctions in literary competitions in Greece, both in poetry and short stories.

In 2017, her children's novel "Zei to dodo?" was published by KEDROS and the Cultural Foundation of the Bank of Cyprus. This particular book was among the 12 books selected for the Panhellenic Children's Youth Book Reading Competition "Book Races 2018". It was also included in the Golden List for the best books of 2018.

In 2017, the children's novel "Once I knew how to hide very well" received praise in the competition of the Cyprus Association of Children's and Young People's Books.

Also, in the same year, he won the XNUMXst Prize in the Poetry Competition of Eugenia Palaiologos Petrondas.

She is responsible for publishing a magazine of cultural content. He is also a member of the Cyprus Association of Children's and Young People's Books and the Union of Playwrights of Cyprus.
