In an anarchic world, orphaned by History, civilization has collapsed.

Advanced knowledge – the quality of one and only sovereign people – completely disappeared. All information about the higher civilization of antiquity has been lost in oblivion. The achievements of the intellect, the achievements of a long Dynasty, were erased forever, as if they had never existed. Only legends about them have survived; stories of a bygone era, passed down by word of mouth. Knowledge and progress have now been replaced by superstitions and fairy tales. Humanity, for some inexplicable reason, from the peak of species evolution, took countless steps backwards; towards the medieval age of iron and steel.

In this gloomy time, a new hope is born. Little Hope, with his father as his only support, is forced to start his Journey early. A journey that will take him from the isolated mountain settlement of Aryan to the ends of the earth.

This is the legendary Journey of the Red Phoenix.

Author Biography

Grigoris K. Dimakopoulos is a civil engineer who lives and works in Karditsa. He was born in Larissa in 1980, but originally from Karditsa and Trikala. He studied at A.P.Th. Thessaloniki, in the period 2000-2006, where his special love for the co-capital was established. From a very young age, his interest in literature was nurtured in him, mainly after his contact with Michael Ende's The Neverending Story and the works of Jules Verne.

While still young, he discovers his passion for astrophysics, a passion born from reading excerpts from old volumes of the Unexplained and the various popular science works he discovered from time to time in his grandfather's ageless, mysterious, highly fascinating library.

In Thessaloniki, his love for classical and fantasy literature developed. His favorite book is The Silmarillion, by J.R.R. Tolkien.

The fantasy trilogy "Age of Legends" is a project that has been intensively worked on for the past six years. The award-winning short story "The Pendulum", was his first published work, taking third place in the pan-Hellenic Fantasy competition 2018, in the context of the Fantasmagoria festival in Thessaloniki (Epic of Fantasy II, iWrite Publications, 2018).

Book review

Whatever I say about this book will be little. The author with his rich vocabulary and descriptions makes you feel like you are inside the book. The world and characters are so well built, that while reading the book I really believed that the author knows every little detail (I still do).

The plot, the layered characters, the description of the locations, the legends. And as the story unfolds you see how everything is connected, that no detail was ever unimportant. The first book 'Red Dawn' was a masterpiece for me.
