My friend Blue is a short story that talks about the color blue, friendship, love and respect for diversity.
We all know Blue. Blue is a fictional character, yet real at the same time. We have all met Blue at some point in our lives. But we've also been Blue at least once. Blue is different, but only until you meet him. Different in appearance, color, dress, culture. But this is only the wrap, the first contact. Because deep down Blue is just one of us. Someone who wants to kiss and touch, someone who wants to help and be helped, someone who wants to love and be loved.
As a character, my friend Blue can be used as a tool, as a vehicle to show that we can all see beyond appearances, that first touch of difference. That with a little time and patience, we can see what is really hidden inside each person. Not to judge only based on external appearance, not to be afraid of the different, and to realize that we too, for some others, may be different.
Because Blue is me, Blue is you, Blue is all of us!
My friend Blue

Adamantios Oikonomopoulos was born in Sydney, Australia in 1971 and grew up in a pleasant multicultural neighborhood that offered him many opportunities for adventure and exploration. It was a time when many families were immigrating to Australia, looking for a better life, so he was lucky enough to experience many different cultures and customs from a very early age.
From a young age he was fascinated by adventure and play, but his favorite habit was drawing small, strange monsters and their strange faraway worlds.
In December 1982 he moved to Athens to experience another culture while at the same time trying to understand what it means to be a teenager. After surviving and finishing High School, he somehow strangely (yet logically) found himself working as a XNUMXD graphic designer, an experience that gave him a first-hand understanding of what it means to create your own stories and characters.
A few years later, he decided it was time for another little adventure, so in 1998 he moved to England, studying and getting an MA in Computer Animation. He then spent several years working for computer game companies making graphics.
In 2005 he returned to Athens, where he continued to work in the field of electronic games as a designer, but at the same time he also started teaching the art of designing and developing ideas for games.
