Ο Michael, a wealthy resident of 11th century Venice of Greek origin, lives in conditions of absolute material prosperity. Suddenly an inner impulse prompts him to embark on a journey back to his place of origin to discover who he is, why he exists, what his destination is.
He leaves everything behind and sets off on a journey, which sometimes becomes difficult and complicated. In search of his final destination, the hero experiences an exciting personal adventure, comparable to the Odyssey. Mythical entities and inner urges will present themselves to him and test him, until he reaches his final goal.
Tormented by the weight of the suffocating everyday life, eagerly searching for answers to his existential quests, Michael leaves himself on a wandering that is sometimes philosophical, sometimes dreamlike and sometimes real, full of symbolism and hidden meanings.
"The soul, when it returns to Earth, brings energy and possibilities, so that man can judge, choose paths, visions, find his destination and strength for his battles."
A novel in which the hero is pushed into a wandering full of symbolism and hidden meanings between the dreamlike, the real and the philosophical, tormented by the weight of his suffocating everyday life and desperately searching for an answer to his existential quests.
