The Public Histories were born in split times, when the fullness of time arrived for them as well.
Sixteen stories that kaleidoscopically capture the multiple faces of our public life. The snake's egg, social automatism, the neurosis of success, the "weighing" of people, the working middle ages, poverty producing blind violence, the constant denials and defeats of struggling people, the desperate search for love, the stubbornness of life, the "dumps" of souls, false prosperity, futile human sacrifices, delusions and the power of habit, paying old bills, the unbearable feeling of injustice.
In this setting the heroes react sometimes passively, sometimes dynamically, in any case humane. The welcoming hand, the solidarity of the community, the insubordinate escape, the consolation of art trace struggles, anxieties, attempts to manage a harsh and largely incomprehensible reality.
