ELEVSINA, AUGUST 10, 1975

All the inhabitants of the city are gathered in the central square to watch the event of the evening: the juggling performance of the famous magician Avkar. Famous at the time for his trick of randomly disappearing someone from the audience and then bringing him back onto the stage through his magic closet, the magician Avkar chooses from the crowd that night the teenage Ioanna Economou.

But when the closet opens, no one is inside. Little Joanna has disappeared once and for all, in front of the eyes of her parents and the whole town.

PRESENT

Shocked by the sudden death of his family and clouded by the barbiturate pills that give him a few hours of nightmare-filled sleep, twenty-nine-year-old Manos Sarris returns to Elefsina to live with his only living relative, retired policeman Stefanos Sarris. There he accidentally discovers the file of the case of the disappearance of Ioanna Oikonomou, in which his uncle was leading the investigations at the time.

For Manos, reading the evidence and testimonies about that unsolved puzzle becomes a means to forget his personal grief. However, when he detects a detail that had escaped the authorities at the time, Aeolos' bag will be opened, bringing to light countless cases of child disappearances to this day.

From the dark streets of industrialized Eleusis to the outskirts of Mexico City, among convicted ex-Satanists, mystics of ancient rituals, broken families, local folklorists, secret libraries and archives of unsolved cases, a young man begins his persistent individual investigation, which will brings him face to face with the wolves.
