Did aliens wipe out an entire village in China? Is there a tree in Madagascar that eats people? Is the video of a unicorn real? What happens to most agroglyphs? Is the centaur skeleton photo sweeping the internet authentic? After all, we only use 10% of our brain?
Being the administrator of the informative website weirdnews.gr, Dimitris Anastasiou has had the opportunity to study first-hand all these years the
international alternative news. Therefore, he is to this day one of the few people in our country who has a sufficiently satisfactory insight into the issue of the strange hoaxes that continue to mislead thousands of our fellow citizens on a daily basis.
In this book, the author collects and comments an extremely interesting anthology of 88 old and modern stories of the genre, which sometimes provoke excitement, sometimes reflection and sometimes even a sly smile in the reader.
The usefulness of a book like this is twofold: on the one hand, it exposes myths of the "alternative" that continue to this day to "fill" pages upon pages in the press and on the internet, and on the other hand (perhaps even more importantly) it highlights the importance of research and the critical thinking that should characterize the modern man, against everything that is served to him ready.
