Would you ever go out to a theater to tell a story from your life?
Would you like to see her on stage? Assign roles to the actors?
To acquire the corresponding music and be properly lit?
At the Playback Theatre, this wish can come true. Originating from the New York alternative scene of the 70s and founded by Jonathan Fox and his collaborators, Playback Theater offers the world a stage where personal narratives of the audience are acted out by a group of specially trained actors through theatrical improvisation. Without prejudice and discrimination, the stories of the spectators build each performance one after the other. In Greece, the theater group "Playback Ψ" has been exploring this theatrical genre for seventeen years, with dedication, knowledge and professional consistency. Its founder, Lambros Giotis, psychiatrist, drama therapist and director, together with artists and therapists as collaborators, are looking for its aesthetic, therapeutic and social dimensions. This book is the culmination of years of rehearsals, performances and theatrical experimentation in capturing the audience's inner world on stage. As they dare to express it through their own stories. Perhaps ultimately the one common human story: that of desire and loss.
In your own story, who would you like to play yourself?
