A macabre custom involves the exhumation, but also the temporary resurrection of a loved one... The form of Christ appears in a moldy mark and plunges a Kefalonian village into group paranoia... A simple video game turns into an interactive nightmare... The legend of a dead child who wanders in the dark, comes to life in a village of Lake Plastira... A forest seems to be trying to exterminate the inhabitants of an adjacent village...
Twelve stories of mystery and horror - one for each month of the year - set in different regions and time periods of Greece. Having as their common basis the paranormal element or ancient legends that no one has ever heard of, they are seemingly unrelated to each other. Until a final, thirteenth story will unite them all in the most unexpected way. What lingers behind the locked door of the mansion in Markopoulos?

A great book from a first time author/creator.
It is a folkloric literary cocktail of macabre and romantic horror stories, some with small doses of bittersweet sadness and others with a sufficient dose of creepiness that remains on our skin even after you close the pages of the book!
It takes you back to those years when you heard stories of legends from your grandmother or uncle or a cousin and you thought they really happened or the ones we tell others to scare them but inside we believe they happened to someone we think we know !
Realism in writing with touches of poetic writing and very simply as soon as you finish it becomes an instant classic!
And surely those who read it, some stories will pass them on to their acquaintances and claim that they have happened to someone they know!
Well done! The stories of the author Vassilis Peslis are well-traveled and will remain for years like legends... or have they happened?!!!
