Two journalists from England travel to Serbia to cover a Greek archaeological mission. Their destination, an old ruined orthodox church associated with a series of legends and strange incidents. The locals claim that every year, during the winter solstice, the mysterious Voleggari, the emissaries of Saint Vlasios, who bring death and rebirth, emerge from this church. As the heroes attempt to shed light on the case of these strange creatures, old secrets surface, forcing them to face their past and all that they have spent a lifetime trying to avoid.
