Ten young writers, in a virgin writing attempt, will search for their hidden coming-of-age story. Within ten completely different stories and literary genres (from poetry and a psychological children's tale, to a romantic science fiction story and a philosophical essay based on the Homeric epics), they explore that catalytic moment when the human experience leaps over the morass of immaturity. Which escapes from the superficial, which sinks her. And then, experience becomes wisdom. And wisdom becomes expression. And the expression, sharing.
Ten stories of division, then, that will make us
we wonder about our own swamp of immaturity.
Ten stories of division waiting to be read, but,
even more, to find people who will identify with them.
Through the course "Writing of all genres and desymbolization", the students learned basic rules of writing-narrative of every basic genre in writing, but also the hidden sexual, psychological, political, etc. symbols present in the great works. Also, through psychological exercises, they developed their emotional intelligence and remembered/analyzed their personal moment of maturity.
At the end of the course, ten students of IEK DELTA Athens, with the help of the lecturer-author Stavrianos Kinalopoulos, wrote and published a mature project as a final thesis.
The short story collection includes: Despina-Danai Ganasou, Vassilis Gioles, Chrysa Dimitrakopoulou, Christina Ilias, Thomas Katikos, Ourania Kliari, Alexandros Kuk, Margarita Kuk, Korina Langi and Sossana Chronopoulou.
Heads of department: Niki Xydia & Konstantinos Kiousis.
Teaching/artistic supervision: Stavrianos Kinalopoulos.
