Love Field

Angelos Georgiou was born in 1978 in Thessaloniki. He grew up in a district of the city, spending long periods in the village where his parents come from. This is how he obtained, at the same time, performances from the life of the city and the countryside. He started writing poems in his teenage years. He was driven to this by the need to capture images, feelings, ideas and conclusions from his personal experiences. By writing, he tries to save – encoded – everything he considers remarkable, saving it from the automatic operation of the selective erasure of memory. A student, who initially showed a preference for philological subjects, but in the end he was won over by the positive sciences. He graduated from the Polytechnic School of A.P.Th. and works as an engineer. With the publication of the poetry collection "Erotic Field", he publishes his poems for the first time.
