How important is writing to you?

Beyond the need to express and send a message to readers, writing is everyone's refuge. His other self. His world without strings attached. The diary and its guide. The reference point. His comedy and tragedy. When I was writing, drunk half the time, I was talking to the screen, laughing, singing, resting my hand on the desk. And for the two years I did it I never, ever got bored. For that alone it is worth as an experience.

“iWrite was discovered completely by accident by a friend. Never before has a wish come true so easily and quickly. [...] His people become a carpet to tread on. There could not be a more perfect collaboration. Which in the end even leaves you with remarkable friends-thinkers."

How did you feel when your book was published and you held it in your hands for the first time?

I felt strange. That someone will actually read this crazy story. I couldn't find a hole to hide. Then I was happy. Finally, I could tear up real pages in moments of anger. It's nice to have a big part of you become paper. It gets out of you somehow so you can carry on without its weight.

Why do you think you made the right choice with iWrite.gr?

iWrite was discovered completely by accident by a friend. Never before has a wish come true so easily and quickly. Given my limited time on home soil I didn't have time to search. And after what I had heard I didn't want to. His people become a carpet to tread on. There could not be a more perfect collaboration. Which in the end even leaves you with remarkable friends-thinkers.

Your first impressions of the "journey" of your book, which has just begun?

I relate as it also travels across three countries and two continents. I hope it gives those who see it laughter, an appetite for good food, ideas for travel. It's like they know me. I imagine my own people, old friends and even strangers with a crooked smile saying "She's kidding..." or "I'm going to kill her".
