Practical Handbook of Statistics

Georgios Siardos is an Emeritus professor of A.P.Th. He was born and raised in Thessaloniki. He studied at the Agricultural School of A.P.Th. from which he graduated. He also received the postgraduate title M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics with specialization in Rural Development from the Department of Agricultural Economics of the University of London, the degree in Economics from A.P.Th. and his PhD in Agricultural Economics from the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Athens. Upon his retirement, he was honored for his overall contribution as an emeritus professor by the Senate of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

He is a member of scientific associations and organizations at home and abroad and has been honored with a series of scholarships for studies and scientific collaboration in European countries and America, and has participated in a large number of seminars, conferences, public lectures, public debates and funded research programs by public and private bodies of our country and abroad.

He is the author of more than 100 scientific articles published in Greek and international journals and in Proceedings of scientific conferences and, in collaboration with other scientists, of pure research works. Also, he is the author of, with reprints, scientific works: "Agricultural Applications: The Advisory Project of Agricultural Development Agencies" 1996, "Methodology of Sociological Research" 1997, "Methods of Multivariate Statistical Analysis: Part One" 1999, "Methods of Multivariate Statistical Analysis: Part Two” 2000, “Sustainable Agriculture and Development” 2011, “Mathematical Financial Analysis” 2011, “Mathematical Financial Analysis Exercises” 2015, “Statistical Models” 2015 and “Dictionary of Statistical Terms” 2015.
