Η Karpathos island is more widely known for its amazing beaches, but also for the rich folkloric and musical tradition that its inhabitants have preserved as the apple of their eye for centuries. On the other hand, the History of the "Wind", as Homer described it in ancient times, seems to concern very few throughout time.
Through this short monograph, the Carpathian journalist Minas Papageorgiou narrates his long-term search regarding the person of Hatzilias Economos, hero of the 21 Revolution, probably a Friend and representative of the island in the first National Assemblies, whose existence and activity he was informed about first time only in 2010.
Beyond the surviving elements of his biography and in his attempt to demonstrate the reasons why he remains in obscurity to this day, the author brings to light for the first time unknown aspects of the action and radical personality of Economos, through pre-revolutionary documents. The content of these documents enriches our knowledge of the relations between the hero and the then ecclesiastical Authority of the place.
