Militant on the side of Memory, in its fight against the Oblivion of our days, Yannis K. Tsiamitros saves with his work the historical and cultural "relief" of Vermio.
It begins with the presence of Vlachs-Armans in the first half of the 19th century, when they came from the villages of Pindos in Greveni with their tseligats to the villages of Vermio in Emathiot, ruined by the destruction of 1822, and gave life again to Seli, Xirolivados, Marousia, Koumaria et al. At the same time, he even dealt with the facilities in the same area of Kopatsarai, Arvanitovlachi and Sarakatsani.
It describes the entire cycle of Vlach etymology (manners and customs, clothing, songs and dances) and closes with the quotation of place names, thus giving a global character to the entire work.
Yiannis K. Tsiamitros not only records the tradition, but also transmits it alive as a dance teacher, as he himself offers the best example of a dancer.
His effort, commendable, is registered as a legacy for future generations at a time when the memory of the past is fading more and more.
