The classic Hindu holy text Bhagavad Gita in a new translation and commentary
Soar… “What is the higher self? What is karma? What is the material nature, and what is the divine? And how at the hour of death do those who have disciplined themselves know You?' And Krishna replied… “The higher self is the inner nature of the individual. Karma, the creative force of action that brings beings into existence. Material nature is the changing state of existence. The divine is the higher self. And, at the time of death, he who remembers Me leaving his body, goes to My own state of existence. There is no doubt about that."
Written around the 5th century BC. the Bhagavad Gita (the Song of God) is part of the epic poem Mahabharata which to this day remains a living beacon of spiritual knowledge as well as a guide to the great questions of life, inner work and death. Above all, however, it offers the method for one to realize the divine experience as a daily way of being, thus liberating the individual to the greatness of the higher Self.
