Can one prepare himself so as not to fall into the trap that traps us in an endless feeling of uncertainty, insecurity and, by extension, loneliness? Is it enough to have met one's other half to live a happy everyday life? To what extent can man tame the beast called "I" within him, so as to quench his thirst for more recognition and affirmation? Are our lives, after all, beautiful and fake, like the dolls in the shop windows that shine behind the flawless, unfiltered glass?

The collection of short stories "Orderly Life" presents different heroes, through each short story separately, with the aim of projecting the loneliness that one faces in marriage, in relationships, in friendships, in one's conscience. How tidy is every aspect of our lives, after all?

Author Biography

Kyriakos Kostas - first name Kyriakos, last name Kostas (but answers to both) - was born in 1973 in the USA and lives permanently in Rhodes. He studied Tourism Professions and foreign languages in Switzerland and has worked in Rhodes and in various European countries.

He always liked to read, especially novels and poems. In December 2017, he took his first step in literature, participating in the short story contest (100 words in 24 hours), organized by Fractal magazine and the Open Library. His short story was named one of the 50 best, out of about 1300.

His dream is to cultivate his love of literature to the fullest and to discover what his writing potential is. In 2018, his first book, a collection of short stories, was released by Pigi Publications, entitled "Orderly Life".

He loves nature and likes to walk in the mountains of the area where he lives, but also to spend a lot of time on the beach, gazing at the endless blue of the sea. He attends creative writing seminars, piano lessons and possesses an unquenchable thirst for knowledge.
