The 20th century laid the groundwork for man's launch into the stars. The first spacewalks, the landing on the moon, but also the first remote-controlled robots on other planetary bodies, gave new impetus to man's vision of space exploration. As a continuation of the previous ones, the 21st century is expected to be - and already is - a brilliant continuation of these plans, since we are already living in the era of private initiatives for the transition of man to Mars, transnational alliances for the construction of the International Space Station , while the advanced instruments of astronomers now have the ability to look deeper into the Universe, revealing even more hidden secrets of its origins.
There is, however, something more behind all these searches. And this is nothing more than man's secret desire for the discovery of other worlds, suitable for life, one of which may in the distant future constitute the next stellar home of our species. For this purpose, a series of sophisticated telescopes have been deployed, scanning the starry sky in search of exoplanets that meet the conditions for the development of life on their surface, taking into account their size, their orbit and their distance from the central star of their planetary system.
