Angelos Lappas was born in the village of Chandrinou in Messinia in 1947. He studied classical literature at the University of Athens and served as a teacher in Secondary Education schools. He is a member of the Society of Greek Writers, the Panhellenic Union of Writers, the UNESCO Group for Speech Arts and Sciences of Greece and president of the Messinian Writers' Union.

He has published the works: "Three speeches and four letters about a journey" (poetry tetralogy), "The river between us, in us" (daily stories in poetic speech), "When Abel would kill Cain" (novel), publications Iolkos, "Inside the walls" (poetry), Iolkos, "Escape to the other day" (short stories), Iolkos, "Images and Faces" (poetry), Gavrielidis.
