Fairy tales illustrated by children!
The story of this book began when a matchmaker zargana visited Koko the cuckoo and informed him that the only female fish of his species, Vina, lived somewhere in the waters of the Philippines. Kokos, the last of a great fishing dynasty of kokovia, was the only one that had escaped the fishermen's nets. The zargana's news made his heart skip a beat and he immediately decided to look for the one and only love of his life. The matchmaker had told him about a beautiful kokovina, whose scales were iridescent in the sunlight and whose green eyes had burned the hearts of the bottom, even the shark.
His trip to the Philippines lasted thirty days. Neither twenty-nine nor thirty-one. Swim in deep and shallow water. With storms and with bunatsa. With moon and moonless sky. To every creature he met, he spoke of his love for Vina. He explained to them that the two of them would be the last couple to escape the fishermen's nets. Everyone willingly helped him find the right path. Every day, he also met a little fish and he told him about his own experiences with people. Kokos realized that people weren't the only ones hunting cocoons.
On the thirtieth day, it reached Philippine waters. He looked left, looked right, and then… he saw her on a coral sunning herself. Her short tail swayed to the rhythm of the currents. Coco's heart skipped a beat. Vina saw him and smiled at him. It was love at first sight.
"Vina" shyly gave him her tail.
"Coco" kissed her fin with a deep bow.
In order to thank all those who helped him find his match, Kokos wrote a book, "The fish tales", with the stories that had been told to him.
And if you ask about Koko and Vina, they lived together until old age a life like a fairy tale.
