High in the sky, all the stars know that the time will come when they will fall to earth, so that people will have the opportunity to make a wish come true. At least this has been the custom for thousands of generations of stars and is passed down from generation to generation. A small star, Chrysafenios, does not want to leave his sky at all and does everything to stay there, as long as possible.

One night, as his powers are failing him, a little boy manages to see him and make a wish. Chrysafenios hears the wish and feels he has the responsibility to fulfill it. But will he be able to overcome his fear of the unknown? And if so, what awaits him down there on Earth?

Author Biography

H Litsa Stylianou was born in 1983 in Nicosia. She graduated from the University of Cyprus with a degree in Pre-Primary Education and, after working for two years in private kindergartens, she continued her postgraduate studies at The Open University, from where she graduated with a Master of Education (Leadership and Management). Since then and to this day, she has been working in public kindergartens, where, together with the most innocent souls, she is in a perpetual process of learning and development.

Beyond the beautiful moments she shares with the children every day, she decided at some point to share her own stories with them. And every time she decides to write something new, she can't help but think of her beloved grandfather, since he was the person who made her love literature from a young age.

"The Golden One" is her third fairy tale to be "made into a book." She has previously published two other fairy tales, "The Butterfly and the Drop" and "The "Last Balloon," with Eggnomon Publications.

Since her childhood, the illustrator Ioanna Kalostefanou, having an innate talent for painting, she showed a great love for art. She studied Art & Design–3D Animation and became a digital design teacher. She worked for many years in writing curricula for digital design and was involved in the education of students and teachers of Computer Science in this subject. In recent years, she has been mainly involved in children's books and collaborates with publishing houses in illustration, page layout, cover design and artistic editing. She has received several awards and praise for her work and has been creating her works in her private studio since 2003.
