When one of the big heads behind the hideous Scorched Earth political scandal was found murdered, many believed in the hand of divine judgment. The story, however, did not end there. The first victim was followed by a second, then a third... All, involved in the same scandal. All, targeted by the same unknown killer. The Bat is among us! Who or what is behind the identity of the mysterious killer? What does she have to do with the people behind the scandal and what is her ultimate goal? Is this an avenger of society or another maniacal serial killer? Opposing the insatiable fury of the Bat will be a sheriff with a risky plan, a thug on a path of self-improvement and a teenage and unruly girl who can't find a place to belong. The pawns are set and the players in their positions.
