The Calvary of an immigrant woman

Daniela Rebenchuk was born on 26.10.1982 in Suceava, a beautiful city in Romania, where she grew up. Her family consisted of herself, her parents and two brothers, Iulian and Andreas. A third brother, Katalin, was run over by a drunken police officer in a car accident when he was three years old. Her family still honors this day, which is Easter Friday, every year.

In 1997, due to financial problems, her family was forced to sell the apartment where they lived and move to her father's village, where her relatives ran a restaurant.

In 2000 she got married and a year later her son, Eduardo, was born. Half a year later, her mother gave birth to her sister, Adelina.

From 2001 until 2015 she lived and worked in Greece, in different places, such as Athens, Mykonos and Rhodes, doing various jobs, such as cleaner, saleswoman in a tourist shop, cook, waitress, bartender and masseuse.

During her stay in Greece, she met the writer Iakovos Campanellis, who encouraged her to write this story.

Today, he lives and works in Belgium.

"The Calvary of an Immigrant" is her first book.
