Tsiamitros K. Ioannis was born in 1952 in Poland and has lived in Veria since 1957. He studied English literature at the AUTH, worked in public schools in the Prefecture of Imathia and since 2008 is retired. At the same time, he was a dancer in several dance groups, the top of which was the group "Dora Stratou" in Athens, where he participated in its performances professionally, for 4 years (1976-1979). Then he was the first dance teacher of the newly founded clubs, Lyceum of Hellenes of Veria and Folklore Association of Vlachs of Veria (early 80s). From 1982, as a teacher, dance teacher and Director of the Rizoma High School (Imathiotika Pieria), he organized student dance groups, which won four Panhellenic firsts in the Panhellenic Artistic Student Competitions, in the category of traditional dance.
He has been attending and teaching traditional dance seminars since 1989, he is a dance teacher in many dance groups of the Prefecture of Imathia, while on his initiative the union "Dance Club of Veria" was founded, in which he is President and dance teacher at the same time. He also deals with local tradition and folklore and writes folklore articles in well-known local newspapers of Veria ('LAOS' and 'IMERISIA'). This book is his second written work. His first book, entitled 'Folklore and Tradition of the Imathion Pierians', was also published by iWrite publications.
