A small poetic anthology with verses that capture the exact outline of the Greek province, through the emotional prism and the special temperament of each poet. A poetic landscape for all those light-sensitive feelings, such as tenderness, daydreaming, diversity, the dignity of solitude, which resist and hide in the harsh and difficult meridian of the Greek countryside.
140 poets and more than 300 poems are anthologized. Major and artesian poets of the same bank are in conversation together with some who were oligographers or are characterized as "minor", while unimportant but not insignificant poems by "self-published" amateur poets are also anthologized.
Almost all poetic generations are represented, from the "generation of denial to the generation of online loneliness": iconic poets, such as e.g. Cavafy, Ritsos, Elytis, Anagnostakis, but also poets of the first post-war period, the generation of the 70s, poets who were born in the Post-colonial period and published work in the pivotal decade of the 90s, as well as younger poets who made their mark over the years of the Crisis. Keeping some sense of boundaries, the editor of the publication also anthologizes lyrics by some songwriters.
